The only required equipment that a parent/guardian must provide is a baseball glove.  The SGCCC provides helmets, bats, catching gear and baseballs.  Some parent/guardians do provide their own helmets or bats.  Baseball cleats (non-metal) can be worn but not required.  A protective cup for catchers is recommend and must be provided by the parent/guardian.

Each player must be fitted for a uniform.  This includes hat, shirt & pants.  It is highly suggested that each person do this in person as brands do vary among sizing each year.  In the event a parent/guardian picks an incorrect size, they are responsible for costs for any new uniforms.

All baseball shoes must be a molded rubber cleat.  Not metal cleats are allowed in any of our age groups.

Games are usually as follows:

A - Wednesday & Thursday, some Tuesdays

AA - Wednesday & Thursday

AAA - Monday & Tuesday

Majors - Wednesday & Thursday

Practices are typically on various nights with no set schedule due to limited field availability.

Once registration ends, staff will contact parents that signed up to coach.  If enough coaches have signed up the process go fast and teams will be selected on the dates listed (usually 2-3 weeks after signups end).  Practices will start late April and continue until Memorial Day.  Games start after Memorial Day.

Teams are picked via a draft.  Each team gets one head coach and up to 2 assistant coaches before the draft starts.  Coaches kids are placed on the same team.  Siblings of any kids are also placed on the same team.
